A bee and squirrel have 3 million each, instead,
The champion in the hair department seems to be the moth:
It has 10 billion hairs, and that is quite a lot!
You'd think so many hairs would cause a holy mess,
But apparently they help to maintain cleanliness:
Bits of stuff, even bacteria, to hair or to fur stick,
And how to get rid of them, there are various tricks -
Dogs shake, bees scrape, and fruit flies simply flick,
To keep clean and get rid of things that might make them sick.
It takes a special turn of mind and scientific flair
To spend years on research by counting species' hair...
