On the latest electronics,
Then a tablet or smart phone is
Clearly the best choice:
You can talk to your Aunt Millie
In L.A., or, maybe, Philly,
You can find your friends in Chile,
Texting, or by voice.
You can connect to your ear it,
So that you may better hear it,
Or you can quite simply steer it
To your couch or lap.
Then the world is at your finger,
To your touch screen you can bring her,
On the Internet you'll linger
With the latest apps.
You will find where weather nice is,
Or determine where the ice is,
You can track the latest crisis
On a distant shore.
You can find your flight is late,
Or the Democratic slate,
You can argue with your mate,
Find the Yankees' score.
From some trouble you can break out,
With your best friend you can make out,
You can order Chinese take-out,
Tickets to a show,
You can take a mental test
You can act, or you can rest,
You can do what you like best,
Or let yourself go, -
You can write yourself a letter,
Not to miss her or forget her,
And on Wall Street, worse or better,
Find your loss or gain.
But this latest great invention
May cause you some apprehension,
For this constant mental tension
May affect your brain...
