The lily-pad beetle rules defies,
The lake surface is its turf.
An insect swims, an insect flies,
The beetle likes to surf...
It takes more energy to flap one's wings,
Drag in the water, claws,
But of all strange and bizarre things,
That's what the beetle does...
It did surely evolution take
Time, to evolve this trick -
It skims the surface of the lake,
Not caring it's unique...
