The opah's heart
Needs warmth, in the water,
This sets it apart
From all of the others.
Fish are cold-blooded things
And that suits them well,
Their temperature swings
With the place where they dwell.
The opah's a find,
And quite an odd dish:
Unique of its kind:
A warm-blooded fish!
To generate heat,
It found a trick neat:
It rapidly spins
Its pectoral fins.
