To hunt for food, when heat is most intense,
Yet this it does, the small Saharan ant,
That hunts before dead insects are buried in the sand.
But in the noontime heat, how does it survive,
When even its predators hardly keep alive?
It is but another instance of nature's sway,
That forces beings to adapt in strangest ways:
The ant is covered by hair that is highly reflective,
And radiates heat, which changes the perspective
In strongest heat, for food, it ventures from its lair,
And is protected by its special hair...
