The cow, a gentle, placid beast,
Is quickly rising in the list
Of animals, that a need fill
To relieve Man's various serious ills.
Since ancient times, the cow provided,
Milk, its horns, and its hide,
To keep Man's little kids alive,
And help his struggle to survive.
Its flesh we frequently partake,
When we enjoy a juicy steak,
And its waste provides methane
For cars, moving in the lane.
And now, in a pioneering test,
Instead of opening the chest
To repair an ailing part,
Tissue from a cow's heart,
Was inserted, as a stent
To the heart, through vessels bent,
And in a procedure bold
Saved a man, 93 years old!
So let's together, here and now,
Celebrate our friend, the cow!...
