Far from city noise and soot,
Scientists search for new knowledge,
Stubborn in their pursuits.
They attempt to disentangle
Nature's complicated ways,
So they're probing every angle,
Finding triumphs and dismay.
As they're seeking a solution
To the mysteries of life,
It's like human evolution:
Slow, and with odd dangers rife.
It takes a species a long time
A new behavior to evolve,
But to find a paradigm
And thus nature's a puzzle solve,
The scientists must be quite clever,
From their path they must not stray,
For, unlike nature, they have never
Enough time to find the way...
