When our universe was still exceedingly young.
The start of our universe made them appear,
And no one ever found them, till, finally, last year...
If they exist, and truly hold their ghostly sway,
They modify space signals in a special way,
And cosmologists thought they found a signal faint
That proved that they existed, or so they all maintained...
But, still, there were some questions: one, interstellar dust
Would modify the signals in the same way, just;
And some calculations maintained that it was wrong:
The signals, they explained, were all much too strong...
Still, there was excitement, and the kudos rang
Finally, there were data confirming the Big Bang!...
But now, found a European satellite named Planck, and all agreed,
The place where the excitement was, was full of dust, indeed.
So now, it's back to satellites and telescopes, and such,
A case of not to little, but of signal strength too much...
