You'll be surprised, and not a little:
You may believe it, or may not,
They come with different number spots!
Spots from none to, maybe, twenty,
There's variety aplenty!
Black on red, or red on black
Different colors on their backs!
To gardeners they have great appeal,
For in their hungry zeal,
They eat aphids with great zest,
Ridding plants of aphid pests!
But I wonder, if they pass
In a tree or in the grass,
Do they stop in their tracks
To count the spots on their backs?
And if there is a match, oh joy!
'Specially if its a girl and boy!
But how do they acquire the trick
To do sums arithmetic?...
